Spain VAT increase and Catalonia Tourist Tax Approved

Spanish Government has approved a raise of the VAT from Sep. 1, from 8% to 10%. This increase has already been applied to all of our tours and excursions.

But be aware that despite this increase, our prices are still competitive, and that we keep working hard to offer the best prices and experiences to all our customers.

On the other hand and concerning Tourist City Tax approved in Cataluña Region, applicable from Nov. 1:

Barcelona city:

  • 5* Hotels 2,50€ /person and night. Children until 16 excluded. To be applied for length of stay from 1-7 days.
  • 4* Hotels 1,25€ /person and night. Children until 16 excluded. To be applied for length of stay from 1-7 days.
  • 3* Hotels 1,00€ /person and night.Children until 16 excluded. To be applied for length of stay from 1-7 days.

Other Catalan cities:

  • 1€ /person and night. Children until 16 excluded. To be applied for length of stay from 1-7 days.

This city tax must be paid by clients at the hotel front desk, we will not be charging this amount on our tours.
