We would like to update you on the latest situation regarding the flooding and weather conditions around Thailand.

Many provinces around Thailand continue to be affected by the widescale flooding, although most major tourist sites around Thailand are still unaffected. The main exception to this is Ayutthaya, which is still severely flooded and all of our tours to Ayutthaya, by road and by boat, are currently suspended.

Some of the highways in Central Thailand are still flooded, meaning that some Palace overland tours have been re-routed, but none of our overland tours have been cancelled or suspended to date. Our classic Bangkok to the North overland tour is re-routed along highway 340 instead of Asia Highway No. 1, which results in an extra 2.5 hours journey time for this tour.

As mentioned, we have suspended our daily sightseeing tours to Ayutthaya, as well as our tours to Lopburi and Uthai Thani, until further notice. As a precaution, we have also changed our canal tour of Bangkok to use a larger boat instead of the normal longtail boat.

Central Bangkok has yet to be hit by the floods, and we don’t expect it to be affected too badly. Just in case there is some flooding in the capital, though, we have careful contingency plans in place to ensure the comfort and safety of all Palace Tours guests.
